Pimples are the bane, aren’t they?  There’s the non ceasing medication treadmill, the diets and detoxes that just don’t work and for a change you’d like to know how to get rid of pimples overnight without more chemicals.

You will have learned that many nutritionists and health professionals regard acne as symptomatic of an internal chronic imbalance.  That is why health professionals treat the body holistically, getting the body back into balance and in this way, they are able to cure chronic disorders such as acne.

Now, to get to your problem – how do you get rid of pimples overnight, naturally?

Luckily, there are quite a few safe non-chemical methods.  But here are just 3 tips.

Tip #1 – The Baking Soda Mask

My beauty therapist warns me that masks that dry out the skin are the worst thing ever as what you are wanting is to hydrate your skin, not draw moisture out!  When the skin dries out, the dead cells block the surface of the pore, and in the meantime, new cell growth is pushing out new cells.  These new cells are blocked by the dead cells at the opening of the pore and irritation and inflamation is the result. The cycle of breakouts starts all over again.  That’s why a mask that works is a mask that does not dehyrate the skin.

This mask made from baking soda fits the bill.    This mask is perfect as it does three things at the same time – exfoliates, softens the skin and corrects the skin pH.  It is just perfect for breakouts.

Mix together, 1 cup of baking soda, 3 tablespoons of salt ( I use the granular type) and 1 tbsp of baking powder.  Add only sufficient drops of water to make this into a thick paste.

For the mask to be most effective, it is best to apply it all over your face. Be sure to tie your hair back.

Now, take the paste and scrub your face using a circular motion.  Do this for about a minute and take care to cover all the affected areas.  The salt is a natural exfoliant whist the baking powder softens the skin and the baking soda is alkaline and brings your skin’s pH back to balance.

Leave the mask on for a few minutes then rinse off thoroughly with cool water.

For a thorough cleansing,  steam your face before hand, so that the pores are opened before the application of the mask.

Tip #2 – The toothpaste method

A tried and tested method on how to get rid of pimples overnight, that has many people swearing to its effectiveness is to use some toothpaste. However, use only plain toothpaste, not the gel toothpaste.

Just dab a little bit of plain toothpaste onto the pimple before going to bed of a night.  This dehydrates the acne overnight.

It works only if your skin is freshly cleaned just prior to applying the plain toothpaste.

Tip #3 – The lime or lemon juice swab

Another favorite method on how to get rid of pimples overnight  is the dabbing on of some fresh lime or lemon juice to theaffected area.  You can do just before turning in for the evening.

This trusty method only requires you cut a single lemon or lime, extract its juice into a small bowl. Apply the juice to the affected areas with a clean cotton tip by dabbing thoroughly but gently.  Before the dabbing on of this juice you need to ensure that your face is completely clean.   Ideally, you would have cleansed and hydrated your face before the application of the lemon juice on the pimples.

These methods on how to get rid of pimples overnight are effective for minor incidences of acne but these are not cures.

For you to cure a chronic acne problem , you’ll need to determine the root cause and heal your body so that it can heal itself.
