Some people claim that herbal remedies such as grapefruit seed extract, aloe vera plant, and tea tree oil can make the inflammation and redness disappear. They don’t usually irritate the skin or cause any allergy. They contain anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial agents that effective against acne as well.
A favorite home remedy for reducing acne redness is a warm tea bag. Just leave the residue for a few minutes after you remove the tea bag. The redness should be gone after you wash the residue away.
Usually acne redness will subside itself but it can be permanent. Scarring is the reason for this permanency. In this circumstance, a visit to your skin specialist is a must if you want the scar to heal.
